This fact sheet discusses biological soil amendments of animal origin and how treatment is defined by the Produce Safety Rule.  It also explores how treatment impacts BSAAO use and what documentation is required. Its intended audience is composters and BSAAO manufacturers.  It is designed to be used in conjunction with two other documents, "How to Draft a Certificate of Conformance" and our "Example Certificate of Conformance".
