Root barrel washers require regular cleaning to reduce the risk of microbial contamination from gaining a foothold. The barrel washer is made of soft wood and there are numerouse cracks, crevices, screw heads, and spaces for soil and debris to accumulate. Regular cleaning is necessary and sufficient time is required for getting the job done correctly. This document provides a checklist for the reasonable cleaning of this piece of equipment.
