The Food Safety Modernization Act's Produce Safety Rule requires farms to provide training to all farm employees working with covered produce on the following -- 1) principles of food hygiene and food safety, 2) recognizing symptoms of foodborne illness and the importance of personal hygiene, and 3) other specific produce safety training relevant to the worker’s job and your farm.
These farm produce safety employee training videos -- available in Spanish and English -- can be used to help provide general produce safety training to farm employees as required under the Food Safety Modernization Act's Produce Safety Rule. The first Farm Produce Safety Employee Training video is intended to clearly and simply communicate key training topics required under the rule, and is designed to be supplemented with additional training covering other policies/procedures that are specific to each farm and each employee's work area. This playlist also includes four videos demonstrating common SOPs for sanitizing food contact surfaces with SaniDate 5.0 and common bleach products.
