Fundamentals of auditing. Audits performed for the USDA since 2015 under the Group GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) program in Michigan. Auditing of farms and warehouse operations as per the specific guidelines of the USDA. Harmonized GAP training was completed in late 2020 through United Fresh Produce Association along with a recertification of the fundamentals of Auditing and GAP processes. I have also presented on the fundamentals of auditing through community workshops. Food and farm safety. Through extensive certifications in food safety and requirements of the states of Michigan and Illinois over the past 22 years, a knowledge base of regulations processes has been maintained. Regular inspections with the Chicago, Illinois, and Michigan specific county regulators have been routine throughout. The licensing of food business entrepreneurs through the Ingham County Health Department was a regular occurrence during my time at the Allen Neighborhood Center. I also had a small food business in Chicago that produced food products.
