This series of learning modules was designed as an outreach and educational tool to advance critical concepts outlined in the Produce Safety Alliance’s Grower Training instruction manual. The videos are intended to help develop a better understanding of produce safety and how it may impact fruit and vegetable farms. Types of human pathogens that can contaminate fresh produce are identified along with the common ways that produce may become contaminated on the farm. Strategies to prevent and reduce risks of contamination are provided. The goal being for all growers to understand the value of committing to the implementation of food safety practices regardless of the size of their operation by putting on their food safety lenses.
