Sue Davis, Oregon Department of Agriculture Produce Safety Development Specialist Sue has worked in agriculture since 2004 when she and her family bought and began operating a small, diversified farm in the Columbia River Gorge. For several years Sue was actively engaged in the start-up and development of the Gorge Grown Food Network. Since 2010 Sue has worked for the state departments of agriculture in Washington and Oregon in roles from farm-to-school market access and development, to international trade development, and education for small farms on USDA GAPs (Bridging the GAPs) and the Produce Safety Rule. She is working under Oregon’s Produce Safety Cooperative Agreement with to deliver education and outreach to produce farms across the state. Sue is a Produce Safety Alliance Lead Trainer and has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. She is located in Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Hood River office, in the heart of Oregon’s mid-Columbia growing region.
